18mm Annular Wedge. Pack of 5 pcs.
For axes, hatchets and clubs of various types.
It is important to place a wedge in the handle to force expansion into the tapered hole in the ax head.
With large axes this procedure usually occurs in two stages.
First, a hardwood wedge (see STH/00008812180) is inserted into a notch previously made with a hand saw. The carving must be made on the long axis of the oval, but not too deep: always cut a little less than the height of the head so that solid wood of the handle comes out of the hole. It's a good idea to use some waterproof glue for this wedge, even the best ax makers do this.
Then insert the metal Annular Wedge
